Kidnapping As Art

Kidnapping has long been a security concern, but there is also a history of art kidnappings: people who pay to be kidnapped, and also performance artists who kidnap their audiences, blurring the boundaries of what is real.  Imprisoned temporarily in a language game of self negation, participants wait with vigilance and hope for deliverance, even when the future remains uncertain.
